Responsible Disposal Guidelines

Responsible Disposal Guidelines

Stella Dolls are designed for long-term use. With appropriate care and storage, structural integrity can be preserved for many years. However, when a product ultimately reaches the end of its service life, responsible disposal is recommended.

Material Composition Overview

Full-body models are composite structures consisting of:

  • External elastomer layer (Silicone or TPE)
  • Internal articulated metal framework
  • Lightweight internal core materials

Due to this multi-material construction, standard household recycling systems may not be suitable for complete unit processing.

Recommended Disposal Approach

When disposal becomes necessary:

  • Ensure the product is clean and completely dry.
  • Remove detachable components such as wigs, clothing, or accessories.
  • Where feasible, separate accessible metal elements from elastomer components.

Local waste management authorities should be consulted for guidance on composite material disposal in your region.

In most jurisdictions, silicone and TPE are classified as non-hazardous solid waste. However, regulations vary.

Privacy Considerations

For privacy protection, disassembly into smaller sections may be considered prior to disposal. Neutral packaging is recommended if the product is transported to a disposal facility.

Discretion during end-of-life handling is the responsibility of the owner.

Environmental Considerations

Elastomer materials are not rapidly biodegradable. Responsible disposal through authorized waste management channels helps reduce environmental impact.

Avoid open burning, uncontrolled dumping, or informal disposal methods.

Longevity Before Disposal

In many cases, structural or surface issues can be addressed through repair or maintenance. Disposal should be considered only when restoration is no longer practical.

Extending product lifespan remains the most environmentally responsible approach.

Sustainability Perspective

While composite elastomer systems present recycling challenges, we continue to monitor material innovations and sustainable processing advancements.

Responsible ownership includes responsible end-of-life management.
