Safety & Usage Guidelines

Safety & Usage Guidelines

Proper handling and controlled usage are essential to preserve structural integrity, surface condition, and internal articulation stability. The following guidelines are designed to minimize material stress and prevent irreversible damage.

Safe Handling & Transportation

Full-body models carry significant weight and require controlled movement.

  • Always use both arms to support the torso and hips when lifting.
  • Do not lift by limbs, neck, or extremities.
  • Before moving, it is recommended to dress the model or wrap exposed areas with a soft towel to reduce surface friction.
  • Avoid contact between high-friction areas (feet, underarms, back) and hard surfaces.
  • Keep sharp objects — including keys, jewellery, and untrimmed fingernails — away from the surface at all times.

Surface elastomers can be punctured or scratched by concentrated pressure.

Pose Adjustment & Articulation Control

Internal articulation systems are designed to simulate natural movement ranges.

  • Adjust joints gradually and within natural anatomical limits.
  • Do not force rotation beyond resistance.
  • Finger joints are articulated and should be repositioned gently.
  • Avoid maintaining extreme bending angles for prolonged periods.

Extended stress at extreme angles may cause localized material fatigue or tearing.

Standing Position Limitations

Standing functionality is designed for short-duration positioning only.

Even when the standing option is selected:

  • External support (wall or stand) is required.
  • The model cannot maintain independent balance.
  • Prolonged unsupported vertical loading may lead to permanent deformation in foot structures.

Extended standing beyond short display periods is not recommended.

Dressing Procedure

Proper dressing techniques reduce surface abrasion and internal stress.

Recommended approach:

  • Remove the head when practical to simplify garment placement.
  • Guide sleeves carefully over arms without pulling forcefully.
  • When garments are tight, support the hand internally and ease fabric outward gradually.
  • For hosiery, roll fabric before application and slide progressively from the foot upward.
  • Avoid dragging fabric across the surface under tension.

After dressing, realign seams gently and restore neutral posture.

Usage Frequency & Recovery

After extended seated positioning or localized compression:

  • Return the model to a horizontal resting position.
  • Allow time for material recovery.

Elastomer materials require pressure release periods to reduce long-term indentation risk.

Prohibited Actions

To prevent irreversible damage, the following conditions must be avoided:

  • Exposure to high heat (direct sunlight, heaters, electric blankets)
  • Use of alcohol, bleach, or aggressive chemical cleaners
  • Prolonged compression under heavy objects
  • Extended unsupported standing
  • Contact with dark or dye-transfer fabrics
  • Contact with sharp or abrasive objects

Thermal exposure, chemical interaction, and concentrated pressure are primary causes of structural degradation.
